Our adult medicine department is represented by a multicultural team of highly trained physicians (both MD and DO), nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Our providers are well versed in diagnosing and managing a wide range of conditions in adult individuals age 18 and older. While our focus is on prevention and screening for early detection, we also provide management of chronic diseases. At MBCHC oral health services and behavioral health services are integrated into primary care ensuring that no aspect of your health is overlooked. Following are some of the services the adult medicine department provides here at MBCHC:

  • Annual physicals
  • Employment physicals
  • School physicals for college/university students
  • Treatment of chronic conditions including, but not limited to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes type I and II, lung diseases, HIV, and more
  • Treatment of acute conditions including, but not limited to urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases, acute musculoskeletal conditions, upper respiratory infections
  • Screenings for breast, lung, colon, cervical cancer, prostate as per current guidelines
  • Depression screenings
  • Vaccinations
  • Pre-operative clearances for upcoming surgeries
  • Referrals to specialists for co-management of more complicated cases and conditions

  • How to contact a provider after the clinics are closed?

    An adult medicine provider is always on call after normal clinic hours. Please call our main line (305) 538-8835 and select the option to speak with the after hours provider. If you are having a medical emergency please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room
