MBCHC has four dentists and two dental hygienists providing diagnostic, preventive, restorative, and rehabilitative dental services including cleanings, restorations/fillings, fluoride application, sealants, and extractions. MBCHC dentists treat periodontal disease and perform emergency treatments. Patients receive instruction on oral hygiene. Dental care is available at the following centers:
• Brush your teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.
• Clean between teeth regularly to remove plaque.
• Visit the dentist for routine check-ups and professional cleaning.
• Drink fluoridated water.
• Don’t smoke
• If you are planning to become pregnant, have a dental checkup.
• Eat a well-balanced diet. Limit sweets and sugary drinks, such as soda.
An adult medicine provider is always on call after normal clinic hours. Please call our main line (305) 538-8835 and select the option to speak with the after hours provider. If you are having a medical emergency please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room
MBCHC is Joint Commission accredited for ambulatory care and laboratory services and certified as a Primary Care Medical Home. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has certified MBCHC at the highest level as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. MBCHC is URAC accredited for specialty pharmacy. In 2021 the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded MBCHC National Quality Leader status for ranking in the top 1-2% nationally of all health centers in the clinical quality measures that promote heart health.
