2025 Graduates

Sandra Mogollon

Sandra Mogollon

Sandra Mogollon is a new resident at Miami Beach Community Health Center. She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from Miami Regional University in 2023 and obtained her certification and license in 2024. Her dedication to serving the community began with her work as an OB-GYN specialist in Colombia and has continued in her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her commitment to healthcare led her to join the MBCHC team and apply for their residency program.

Pierre-Laurent Bazin

Pierre-Laurent Bazin is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse academic and practical background. He initially earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Florida Atlantic University. Following that, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. Since then, he has gained extensive experience working as a nurse in various settings, including travel assignments and per diem roles at notable institutions such as the University of Miami Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Aventura Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital.

For the past six years, he has made Mount Sinai Medical Center his primary workplace, where he has honed his skills and developed a deep commitment to patient care. Wanting to have a greater influence on his patients’ health, he went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing with a specialty in Family Practice.

He has decided to join the residency program to further expand his knowledge, build confidence, and refine his skills as a nurse practitioner.
Pierre-Lauren
Yulissa Sosa

Yulissa Sosa

Graduated from Antigua College International with a Bachelor in Science of Nursing in 2019, and South University with a Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner 2022. She has worked in the home health field as well as an RN case manager. Yulissa decided to join Miami Beach Community health center residency program because she felt like it was a great opportunity to obtain more clinical knowledge as well as be able to gain skills and confidence to work in a healthcare setting.

Nativita Armand

Nativita Armand graduated from Chamberlain University in July 2023 with her Master of Science in nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been in the nursing field for over 13 years. During her journey as a nurse, she worked as a pediatric nurse while volunteering as a classroom helper for children with special needs at a public school. She also worked as a post-acute and rehabilitation center nurse manager, Med-surge telemetry RN, and PCU/ ICU Float RN. As a new graduate nurse practitioner, she has decided to embark on a residency program to acquire more medical knowledge and skills to become a safe provider and develop more confidence in clinical practice.
Nativita Armand
Nishka Baptiste

Nishka Baptiste

Nishka Baptiste – is a Family Nurse Practitioner resident at Miami Beach Community Health Center. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Nishka obtained her nursing degree at Miami Dade college and went on to start her nursing career as an emergency room nurse at Mount Sinai medical center. She later went on to work on both local and travel assignments at other hospitals. After many years of providing exceptional care to her patients as an emergency room nurse, Nishka decided to pursue her master’s degree at the Florida International University where she obtained her degree as a Family Nurse practitioner in August 2023 and is currently licensed in Florida. Nishka decided to become a part of the Miami beach community health center residency program because she saw the amount of opportunity the clinic offer in providing support and the space needed to gain more knowledge and clinical skills for guaranteed success.

2024 Graduates

Sujen

Sujen Stephens

Born in Belize and raised in Miami Florida. Graduated Florida International university with a Bachelors in Social Work 2009, Chamberlain with a Bachelors in Nursing 2018, and South University with a Masters in Family Nurse Practitioner 2021. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Juvenile probations, youth violence, family, and weight loss counseling for 8 year total. In the health care field I specialized in Stroke, Neurosurgery, ENT, Transplant, and PICU for a total of 5 years combined. I chose to apply in residency program to help me get hands on training in clinical setting because due to covid my FNP program was changed into a virtual program and I learn better doing hands on training.

Isabel Perez

Graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2023 with DNP, FNP. She has decided to join a residency program to gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to work in a healthcare setting.

Taimy

Taimy Hernandez

is a Family Practitioner resident at Nurse Miami Beach Community Health Center. She obtained her master’s degree from Miami Regional University in 2023. This academic achievement was complemented by her attaining board certification from the American Nurse Practitioners and her license for practice in Florida. Her journey into the field of nursing is built upon a foundation of medical knowledge with her medical training completed in Cuba at the University of Medical Sciences in Havana, where she also completed her residency in Internal Medicine. Taimy brings a wealth of experience from various clinical settings predominantly focusing on adult patients. Her decision to join the residency program at the Miami Beach Community Health Center was driven by the desire to felt supported and gain comprehensive exposure to different family practice areas, at the same time she could make a difference in our population lives.
