MBCHC’s postgraduate APP training program will prepare the next generation of primary care providers to serve the community of South Florida. By training recent graduates, the program will increase the number of primary care providers available in the community and improve access to healthcare within our community.
MBCHC’s APP postgraduate training program provides comprehensive training for recent graduates to provide high-quality, safe primary care to the South Florida community. Trainees will develop leadership skills, transition from theory into practice under the guidance of experienced mentors and preceptors, and increase their confidence in attending to various health problems while navigating patients’ complex health needs and promoting their health.
Leora Gold earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner concentration, from Nova Southeastern University, building on a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University, where she graduated cum laude. Her clinical background includes experience as an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) nurse at Memorial Hospital West. In addition, she worked with Mobile IV Medics, providing direct patient care.
Mary Gold
Mary Gold earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Miami Regional University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the same institution. She brings a broad clinical and cultural perspective to patient care, with more than 15 years of nursing experience. Prior to beginning her nurse practitioner residency, she served as Medical Home Coordinator Assistant Manager at MBCHC. She is dedicated to advancing health equity, improving care delivery systems, and supporting underserved populations.
Sandra Levy
Sandra Levy earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University, graduating with Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors. Building on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami, she has gained extensive clinical experience at top-ranked institutions including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital PICU. Recognized for her leadership and compassionate care, she is a multi-time DAISY Award nominee and recipient of the Drezner Family Graduate Nursing Scholarship.
Caridad Cutino
Caridad Cutino earned her Master’s degree from Miami Regional University and is also a foreign-educated physician, graduating with honors from Universidad de Ciencias Médicas in Havana, Cuba. Building on her strong medical foundation, she has gained valuable nursing experience as a Registered Nurse at Unity Health Rehabilitation Center.
