Beach Community Health Center, Inc. (MBCHC) is a fully integrated ambulatory care
medical facility which has been providing primary health care in Miami-Dade
County since 1977. MBCHC has two locations on Miami Beach and one in Miami.
Services provided include internal and family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics
and gynecology, HIV/AIDS services, dental services, endocrinology,
ophthalmology and optometry, psychiatry and behavioral health, podiatry, and
geriatrics. All three locations have laboratory and pharmacy services. MBCHC
pharmacies have 340B pricing. Free medication is available for patients through
pharmaceutical company patient assistance programs for those who qualify. Free
transportation and translation services are also available for those who need
them. MBCHC is Joint Commission accredited for ambulatory care and laboratory services
and certified as a Primary Care Medical Home. The National Committee for
Quality Assurance (NCQA) has certified MBCHC at the highest level as a
Patient-Centered Medical Home. MBCHC is URAC accredited for specialty pharmacy.
In 2021 the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded MBCHC National
Quality Leader status for ranking in the top
1-2% nationally of all health centers in the clinical quality measures that
promote heart health.In 2021 MBCHC provided services to 58,506
unduplicated patients of whom 25.27% were covered by Medicaid or other public
insurance, 39.36% were uninsured, and 97% had incomes 200% or less of the
Federal Poverty Level.
